Malcolm Stern has worked as a group and individual psychotherapist for nearly 30 years. He co-founded Alternatives at St. James’s Church in 1982, and it’s now London’s most influential spiritual events platform. He teaches and runs groups internationally. His first book, Falling in Love, Staying in Love, was published in 2004. Slay Your Dragons with Compassion was published in 2020.

When Malcolm Stern’s daughter Melissa took her own life in 2014, he underwent an inner journey of healing. He realized that there were practices he had developed which allowed him to navigate his way through tragedy. He wrote this all in his latest book as a guide to thriving through adversity. This workshop will instruct in some of these practices in order that participants can become more resourced in these challenging times. Participants will experimentally explore subjects like “bearing witness”, “finding our radar”, and “creating a sangha” (spiritual community).

His book has been endorsed by some of the world’s leading spiritual teachers including Eckhart Tolle, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Jack Kornfield.
